THIS YEAR HAS FLOWN
Now I know it seems as though we say this at the end of every year, but yet again I find myself saying… “Wow…Hasn’t 2009 flown by”. Seriously, it has though hasn’t it? It seems not long ago I was in Ibiza on the beach and yet here we are starting to gear up for Christmas. It still amazes me how much thought and preparation we put into just one day. As a nation we go crazy over it! And I’m sure it won’t be long before you drive down your road and see the crazy family form number 92 with all the decorations up 6 weeks ahead of the celebration! MADNESS! Am I ruining the excitement already?
A few weeks ago I played my 2nd ever Kiss Weekender. Chances are you may have been to more of these than me! The weekend was huge and was a complete sell out. Respect to everyone that came and got involved and in particular those who came for some back room action…It went off. I’m sure if you were there you’ll agree it truly was HUGE and from looking through the pictures of previous events it seemed the standard of themed dress was at an all-time high this year
My DJ Schedule throughout late September & October involves a vast amount of university fresher’s’ gigs. It seems as though year on year there are more and more parties and events being held for freshers. One university I dj’d at had events for fresher’s every night for 14 days solid! Even by my standards, 14 days of partying and late nights takes it’s toll (and I get a fair amount of practice) so for someone who’s only just reached the legal age to enter a nightclub to manage it – FAIR PLAY!
I took a trip to London yesterday to indulge in some early Christmas shopping on Oxford Street, or at least what I thought was early Christmas shopping. I couldn’t have been more wrong though. Christmas shopping is most definitely is full swing. The streets and shops were completely mobbed. I may have expected it at the weekend but not on a Tuesday! Regardless to say, I came away with not very much at all. I bought 5 perfumes for £20. I thought I was getting a bargain and that they would make great presents for…dare I say it… all the women in life, however, after showing them to a friend when I got home last night, it turns out I’ve been well and truly robbed of my £20. Apparently a tin of nail varnish remover would smell nicer. I live and learn. (And if you’re after some cheap perfume….)
See ya.
